On Kalevala

Ukko ylijumala and Joukahainen (Created by DALL·E 3 from my prompt)

Is Kalevala a story about a civil war between Finns?

Is depicting Thor and Ukko the Overgod as the same thing disingenuous?

In the story, Lemminkäinen is, for a while, a ”zombie”: his lights aren’t on, so to speak. ”The individual experiencer” is not in control of the body. There are depictions of zombies in Buddhist sources too. Could my mother also be a walking dead person — a (biologically alive though) body with no consciousness? Her behavior was a bit too strange. (Could she also be a demon instead of a zombie?) Who could have done that to her and why? Would her existence have already ended irreversibly in this case? Or can she be in some other state or place — conscious or unconscious? Does her body have a connection to her anymore? How many zombies are there walking the Earth?
