On the Well-off

Created by DALL·E 3 from my prompt (RamenRamen had made a good one when I was dependent on others for illustration.)

I earlier mentioned bullying and the upholding of class differences. Can it be that a scarcity and a hierarchy have been set up of a working basic human experience: on the abilities to socialize, to move one’s body, to create art, to use one’s vocal system, to perform...?

Is the general rule that rich people don’t work, and well-paid people work a lot less than is commonly thought? Do many, practically speaking, achieve freedom from work early in their careers? I feel like the amount of things in the world is actually somewhat small… There’s no way people in offices build things and constantly improve themselves for eight hours a day. Is work for many actually about winning the favor of a particular ”money pile” and upholding the façade?

Do well-off people often dress modestly as a stealth technique towards their depressed victims, who don’t care about their own appearance? Do they know they are living wrong, and have some of them been raised sternly to not show it at all? And to play the character of a bearer of responsibility or even a disciplinarian?

{According to some Christian teachings, it’s hard for the rich to get to Heaven. The other alternatives are apōleia and an eternity in Hell, I presume. There would have to be a compelling reason for this, of course. Could it be that there is such a reason?}
